We are Hiring for Assistant Engineer Position: Wire Cut EDM Operator Division: Iron and Steel Manufacturing Qualification: Diploma Years of Experience: 2 to 5 Years CTC: 2 to 5 LPA Job Locations: Chittoor No. of Positions: 1 Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate Wire Cut EDM machines (e.g., GF & Excetek, etc.). Interpret 2D/3D drawings and machining requirements for precision cutting. Load, align, and clamp the workpieces and electrodes accurately. Input programs and adjust cutting parameters (speed, power, offset) as needed. Perform pre- and post-machining inspections using measuring instruments. Ensure correct wire tension, flushing and spark gap conditions. Monitor operations and troubleshoot minor issues to maintain part quality. Maintain job records, inspection reports, and daily production logs. Conduct daily machine checks and basic preventive maintenance . Follow safety rules and 5S practices in the workplace. Required Skills: Experience in operating Wire Cut EDM machines (any make). Good understanding of tool steel, copper and hardened components . Skilled in using precision measurement tools (micrometer, Vernier, dial gauge, etc.). Basic knowledge of EDM programming and CAD/CAM software is an advantage. Familiar with mold inserts, punch/die manufacturing and high-accuracy work. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and quality. Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willing to work in shifts and under delivery timelines.
