Your role will involve ensuring uncompromised patient care by transcribing quickly and accurately, as well as performing thorough editing. It will be essential to type out the full forms of medical abbreviations and acronyms, along with the formal versions of medical jargon. You will also need to identify and address inconsistencies, errors, and missing information within transcribed reports and submit transcriptions to healthcare professionals for their approval promptly. To excel in this role, you should have proven work experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or in a similar position. You must possess the ability to transcribe accurately and maintain a minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute. Familiarity with specialized transcription equipment and voice recognition software, such as WebChartMD and PhraseExpander, is required. An in-depth understanding of medical terminology, jargon, and editing practices is essential, along with keen attention to detail to uphold patient care standards. While post-secondary training in medical transcription is preferred, freshers can also apply for this position. This is a full-time, permanent position with the flexibility of working day shifts, morning shifts, night shifts, or rotational shifts at the laboratory's physical location.
