Edible Oil Refinery Operator

As a Refinery Operator in the Production/Refinery department at Gandhidham, Gujarat, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Operate and monitor all refinery plant sections including Degumming, Neutralization, Bleaching, Deodorization, and Filtration. - Continuously observe temperature, vacuum, pressure, and flow parameters to ensure consistent quality of refined oil. - Efficiently handle pumps, filters, heat exchangers, and vacuum systems. - Maintain and update daily process log sheets, record oil yield, and consumption data. - Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) for in-process sampling and adjustments to meet product standards. - Report deviations or equipment faults to the Shift Engineer or Maintenance Team immediately. - Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Safety & GMP guidelines at all times. - Assist in start-up, shutdown, and cleaning operations of refinery equipment. - Participate in preventive maintenance and ensure proper housekeeping of the refinery area. - Ensure maximum oil recovery and minimal process loss through efficient operation. Qualification Required: - ITI/Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering Experience Required: - 3-6 years of experience in Edible Oil Refining Operations (Physical & Chemical Refining Processes) You should possess the following skills: - Good understanding of edible oil refining processes and plant equipment. - Ability to operate and troubleshoot PLC-based systems and field instruments. - Basic knowledge of utilities such as boilers, chillers, air compressors, and steam lines. - Strong observation skills for process optimization and quality consistency. - Teamwork and communication skills for coordination across production, QC, and maintenance departments.
