Job Description

Oversees the development and implementation of detailed technology solutions for clients using company products, outsourced solutions, or proprietary tools/techniques. Responsible for defining the client needs, developing a proposal to meet those needs, as well as overseeing the implementation of the complete project solution. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. This position requires the ability to learn quickly to start working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential. As a member of the Avalara Implementation team your goal is to provide world-class service to our customers. He/she will be expected to live by our cult of the customer philosophy and will be held accountable for increasing the overall satisfaction of our customer base. Assisting in the creation and implementation of customer centric processes and workflow, performing to prescribed metrics goals and contributing to an environment of accountability, growth, and positive employee morale. As part of the Implementation Team, you'd focus on New Product Introductions, with enhanced focus on customer onboarding. The role is highly collaborative, and you will be expected to create clarity in a complex organizational environment, generate energy through a bias towards action, and deliver results. Roles and Responsibilities: Lead planning and delivery of multiple client implementations simultaneously. Ensure that customer requirements are fully defined and met within the configuration and the final deliverable. Coordinate between internal implementation and technical resources and client teams to ensure smooth delivery. You take over the technical management and implementation of medium to large EDI and e-Invoicing solutions for our customers. Our project management team will provide you with active support. You create customer-specific workflows, mappings, connections to partners and coordinate end-2-end tests. Resolve, record and appropriately escalate risks and issues. Take ownership of the technical and functional management of AMS activities, ensuring that EDI and e-invoicing systems run efficiently and effectively. Provide customer-facing support and consulting for national and international customers, focusing on optimizing their business processes. Analyze and resolve complex incidents and service requests in a timely manner while adhering to SLAs. Collaborate with European customers, gaining an understanding of their specific business needs and cultural context. Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability. Develop and maintain customer-specific workflows, mappings, and data transformations, ensuring seamless integration. Provide training and end-user support during customer onboarding. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BE, BCA, MCA, B. Tech) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent career experience. Experience in implementing ERP solutions. You have very good experience in the implementation and management of EDI and/or e-invoicing projects and are familiar with one of the common integration platforms (e.g., Seeburger BIS, Axway TSIM, Lobster, TradeExpress, etc.). You have experience in programming mappings and are familiar with different data formats (e.g., EDIFACT, ANSI X.12, TRADACOMS, XML, etc.) as well as various data exchange protocols (e.g., AS2, OFTP2, (S)FTP(S), etc.). Experience with market leading ERP Software like SAP ECC and SAP S/4, Microsoft Dynamics including their Inhouse formats like SAP IDoc. Expertise in data exchange protocols, including AS2, OFTP2, SFTP, and PEPPOL. Solid understanding of business processes in the retail sector, with experience working with European customers being a strong advantage. Understanding of the tax, tax processes, data and systems concepts and an ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to them. Experience in techno functional role and the capability of translating business requirements to technical configurations. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer service environment, managing a large portfolio of active customers through their implementation or support process; organization and the ability to balance multiple clients and varying needs is critical to this role's success. 5-8 years of software implementation, preferably within the B2B sector. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint Efficient work habits that allow for a significant level of multi-tasking and ability to effectively prioritize to deliver impact and results. Results-oriented with strong people and time management skills, highly organized, motivated, and driven to succeed. Flexibility and a willingness to immerse themselves in the detail of projects to quickly solve problems. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams. Excellent analytical, organizational skills and team player Goal-driven and self-motivated towards continual improvement in knowledge, efficiency, productivity, and customer service; Consultants are measured on a combination of the number of projects successfully completed per month and the quality of the implementation.
