Role & responsibilities: Design & Development: Architect IIoT solutions integrating sensors, PLCs, edge devices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). Develop edge computing frameworks for real-time data processing, analytics, and low-latency decision-making. Cloud Integration: Implement AWS services (IoT Core, Greengrass, Lambda, S3) and Azure services (IoT Hub, Functions, Edge) for scalable IIoT deployments. Optimize data pipelines from edge to cloud, ensuring secure and efficient transmission. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (software engineers, data scientists, OT/IT teams) to align solutions with business goals. Partner with stakeholders to translate industrial requirements into technical specifications. Protocols & Security: Develop communication protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus) and ensure end-to-end security (encryption, access controls, compliance). Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve issues in IIoT/edge systems; provide post-deployment technical support. Documentation & Innovation: Maintain detailed documentation (designs, APIs, workflows). Stay updated on emerging trends in IIoT, edge computing, and cloud technologies. Required Skills: Min 5-7 years in industrial automation, with 2+ years focused on IIoT(Industrial internet of things) stacks and edge computing. Must have experience of industrial protocols (OPC UA (unified Architecture), MQTT) and automation systems (PLCs, SCADA ). Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure IoT services and edge devices Education: Bachelors in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronic/Computer Science or related field. Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, or C#; familiarity with DevOps tools. Preferred Skills: Certifications: AWS Certified IoT Specialty, Azure IoT Developer, or equivalent. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills: Masters degree in a relevant field. Experience in manufacturing, energy, or oil & gas sectors. Background in machine learning/AI for edge analytics. Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and industrial security standards (ISA/IEC 62443).
