PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Deputy Manager-Industrial relations is responsible for establishing communication channels with contractors, collecting labor compliance documents, conducting on-site inspections, managing compliance trackers, document repositories, and providing guidance on labor compliance. COMMUNICATION The post holder will be in contact with : • Internally- IR Team, Safety Team, Project Team, Asset Operations Team • Externally-Govt. Authorities, Contractors Establishment PROFILE • Qualification Graduation/LLB/Masters in industrial relations • Experience 10+ years of experience • Knowledge Knowledge of labour laws and Industrial Relations related to Factory and Construction. • ICT Skills – MS Office • Other Skills – Good Communication and Interpersonal skills • Abilities – Proactive approach • Language English, Hindi AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES a) Communication and Document Collection i. Objectives Establish communication channels with contractor's labor compliance point of contact, coordinate interactions for timely exchange of labor compliance documents. Request and collect necessary labor compliance documents monthly and review received documents promptly for adherence to labor laws. Coordination with the government authorities for inspections and notice received. ii. Measures Time taken in closure of notice. b) Physical Inspections and Compliance Maintenance i. Objectives Schedule and conduct monthly on-site inspections for SPV contractors, verify adherence to labor laws and regulations during inspections. Document inspection findings and maintain detailed records to ensure compliance activities align with relevant labor laws. ii. Measures No of inspections conducted. 100% adherence to labour laws. c) Compliance Tracker Presentation i. Objectives Generate Monthly Compliance Tracker for each SPV contractor and summarize compliance data in charts or graphs for quick reference. Identify and address non-compliance issues discovered during inspections and outline action plan to rectify compliance gaps and prevent recurrence. ii. Measures No. Of non-compliance issues discovered and addressed. d) Document Repository Management i. Objectives Collect and organize documents from contractors and principal employer, maintain a secure digital repository with a systematic folder structure and regularly update the repository with new documents and revisions. ii. Measures Status of the document repository. e) Registration and Permit Assistance i. Objectives Assist in obtaining necessary registrations and permits for site operations by coordinating with authorities. ii. Measures No registrations and permits obtained. f) Guidance and Compliance Assistance Provide guidance to contractors on maintaining labor compliance as per relevant labor laws through awareness sessions.
