As a Senior Product Quality Leader - EEVC at Volvo Group, you will play a pivotal role in the quality strategy by collaborating with a team of Product Quality Leaders to ensure the quality of electrical and electronic components/systems and telematic services. What you will bring: 8+ years of working experience for a professional consulting organization in the Database area with strong Database foundation skills. 5+ years of direct working experience on PostgreSQL and Oracle databases Expertise in PostgreSQL Database implementation for high availability in large enterprise environments. Be familiar with database design and building applications for PostgreSQL, Oracle, or other databases. Expert knowledge on General system administration and performance tuning skills for Linux (Ubuntu, Centos, Red hat, or Debian), including troubleshooting and scripting. Be well-versed in SQL and MS Windows Have strong time management skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects in parallel. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL/EDB databases, ensuring high availability using tools like pgbouncer and BART. Manage Oracle Database 19c environments, including RAC and Data Guard configurations. Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval. Collaborate with IT and development teams to support database needs and resolve issues. Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and security. Provide technical expertise and guidance on database architecture and best practices. Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning activities. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates and insights on database status and improvements. Must-Have Qualifications: At least 10 years of relevant industry experience as a Database Administrator. Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/EDB databases, including high availability tools like pgbouncer and BART. Expertise in Oracle Database 19c, including RAC and Data Guard. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively. Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
