Description

We are seeking an experienced ED Facility Coder to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, specifically within the emergency department, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate coding of medical records.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze emergency department medical records for accurate coding.
Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures.
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies.
Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and quality assurance.
Stay updated with coding updates and changes in regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

1-6 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in the emergency department setting.
Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
Ability to interpret medical records and clinical documentation.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCA) is preferred.
