- Assign correct ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for ED encounters
- Ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and quality benchmarks
- Review medical records and assign accurate codes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation
- Stay updated on payer-specific guidelines and coding updates
- Work with denial management teams to resolve coding-related rejections
- Adhering to coding guidelines and regulations (AAPC/AHIMA)
- Maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
- Meeting productivity and quality standards
- Collaborating with clinical staff for coding clarity
- Staying updated on coding changes and regulations
- 2-5 years of experience in ED coding
- Strong knowledge of ED coding and US healthcare RCM
- Good analytical and communication skills
