You will be joining our team as a Mechanical CAD Engineer, where your primary responsibility will be creating and managing CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Engineering Change Requests (ECR). To excel in this role, you should have a strong proficiency in CAD software, a solid grasp of mechanical design principles, and experience in design documentation and revision control processes. Your key responsibilities will include developing 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar tools. You will also be required to generate and maintain detailed engineering drawings with GD&T, tolerances, and material specifications, as well as create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and consistency in parts lists. Processing and implementing Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) in collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial, along with working closely with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, NX, or equivalent, and strong knowledge of mechanical design, GD&T, tolerancing, and drafting standards. Experience with BOM creation and management in ERP/PDM/PLM systems, an understanding of ECR/ECO processes, and basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, injection molding, etc.) will be beneficial. Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are also key requirements.
