Role & responsibilities We are seeking a seasoned Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team and provide Level 3 support for our endpoint management environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to make an immediate impact with minimal onboarding. Our primary management platform is Tanium , and we strongly prefer candidates who are Tanium certified or have substantial hands-on experience with it. However, we will also consider professionals skilled in similar tools such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) , BigFix , or ECQ , provided they can demonstrate a rapid learning curve in adopting Tanium. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Level 3 escalation point for complex endpoint issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution. Manage and optimize endpoint configurations using Tanium or equivalent endpoint management platforms. Deploy applications, including packaging and configuring MSI and EXE installers for software rollout and patching. Create and maintain PowerShell , Shell or Bash scripts to automate endpoint management tasks. Oversee Windows OS imaging and deployment using tools such as MDT , SCCM , or Autopilot . Implement, troubleshoot, and optimize Group Policy Objects (GPOs) as well as Intune Policies. Participate in vulnerability remediation workflows , ensuring compliance and security standards are met. Provide macOS support , preferably with Jamf administration experience. Generate and analyze endpoint compliance, performance, and security reports using Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) and/or Power BI . Qualifications Required: Proven knowledge of Tanium, Intune, SCCM or Similar Proven Level 3 support experience in endpoint management environments. Advanced troubleshooting skills for Windows and macOS platforms. Strong scripting abilities in PowerShell , Shell , or Bash . Solid knowledge of Windows OS deployment and imaging best practices. Expertise with GPOs and policy-related troubleshooting. Experience with vulnerability management and remediation processes. Reporting Power BI / Excel. Preferred: Tanium certification or extensive hands-on Tanium experience. Proficiency with other endpoint tools such as SCCM , BigFix , or ECQ . Experience with Jamf for macOS device management. Strong reporting and analytics skills using Excel and/or Power BI .
