The hospital is focused on reducing the prevalence of preventable blindness in marginalized communities within Ganjam and nearby districts of Odisha. ECOS Eye Hospital is dedicated to offering accessible and affordable eye care to those in need. ECOS is currently running four Vision Centres in Ganjam and Khordha districts. The Jatni Vision Centre is located on the Ground Floor of the Rotary Club premises in Jatni, Near Khordha Railway Station, Dist. Khordha. Role Description This is a full-time role for an Optometrist, located on-site in Jatni Vision Centre, Jatni, Near Khordha Railway Station, Dist- Khordha, Odisha. We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to manage the day-to-day operations of our Vision Centre in Jatni. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye exams, refraction, diagnostic tests, and providing patient counseling—particularly for cataract and other surgeries referred to the base hospital. Additionally, the Optometrist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care and support preventive eye health initiatives for the community. Qualifications & Skills: · Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry (B.Sc. Optometry) · Minimum 1 year of clinical experience · Proficiency in using ophthalmic diagnostic instruments · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Strong commitment to patient-centered care · Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team · Eagerness to learn and stay updated with developments in eye care Key Responsibilities: · Perform visual acuity tests, refraction, and basic diagnostic procedures · Screen patients for common eye conditions and identify those needing referral · Counsel patients on treatment options and surgical procedures · Maintain patient records and ensure smooth workflow at the Vision Centre · Coordinate with the base hospital for referrals and reporting · Participate in outreach and awareness activities in the local community

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position for an Ophthalmologist at ECOS Eye Hospital, Berhampur. The Ophthalmologist will be responsible for: Diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular diseases and disorders. Performing cataract and other ophthalmic surgeries. Providing comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. Conducting pre- and post-operative patient evaluations. Collaborating with optometrists, nursing, and diagnostic teams to ensure holistic patient care. Participating in outreach programs, community eye camps, and tele-ophthalmology initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements M.S. / D.N.B. (Ophthalmology) — Freshers and Retired Ophthalmologists are welcome to apply. Valid State Medical Council Registration to practice as an Ophthalmologist. Proficiency in medical and surgical ophthalmology, particularly cataract surgery (phacoemulsification preferred). Strong interpersonal, diagnostic, and communication skills.
