Position Summary: We're looking for a smart and curious Market Research Trainee who is excited to dive deep into the world of digital-first and retail brands. This role is ideal for someone who wants to understand how high-growth brands scale across marketplaces and quick commerce platforms. You'll assist in collecting market data, studying competitor strategies, and presenting findings that drive real business decisions. Essential Qualifications & Experience: 1. MBA fresher with a specialization in Marketing 2. General awareness of the e-commerce industry, marketplaces, and quick-commerce landscape 3. Strong research interest in digital-first and retail brands 4. Comfortable conducting desk research from multiple online sources Preferred Qualification & Experience: 1. Internship or academic experience in market research, brand analysis, or digital commerce 2. Exposure to Digital-first or retail brand projects during coursework 3. Familiarity with marketplace platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy, Instamart Essential Functional & Technical Skills: 1. Strong internet research and data gathering abilities 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 3. Ability to summarize and present findings clearly 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 5. Comfort working with structured and unstructured data 6. Ability to track brand performance and trends across digital platforms 7. Familiarity with updating or organizing information in CRM tools (e.g., Freshsales/Hubspot) Preferred Functional & Technical Skills: 1. Basic understanding of dashboard creation and data visualization 2. Exposure to Google Trends, SimilarWeb, or marketplace analytics tools 3. Awareness of key metrics like GMV, conversion rate, or brand presence 4. Familiarity with using CRM systems to track lead/brand data Responsibilities (not the inclusive list) 1. Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data from various digital platforms related to e-commerce and retail business 2. Research and extract insights on D2C and retail brands across marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Big Basket, etc. 3. Conduct desk research and competitive benchmarking of brands across categories 4. Support creation of internal reports, insights dashboards, and business presentations 5. Stay up to date with emerging trends in the digital commerce ecosystem 6. Actively working on CRM platform to update the leads data & presentations.
