As a Senior Engineer on the Cloud Platform team at Saks, you will play a vital role in shaping the digital customer experience for luxury fashion enthusiasts. As part of the Cloud Platform team, you will be involved in various aspects of AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineering, Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Infrastructure Automation, and implementing Infrastructure as Code using GitOps principles. Your responsibilities will include working with a tech stack that comprises AWS services such as IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda functions, VPC, and Load Balancer. Proficiency in either Java, Python, or another programming language is essential, along with experience in CI/CD tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. Additionally, familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Container Orchestration with Kubernetes, and Monitoring & Observability tools like Datadog will be beneficial in this role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science or Information Science, and possess 4 to 6 years of experience, including hands-on coding experience. Strong communication skills, a knack for debugging and troubleshooting, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment are essential qualities we are looking for.
