As a Technical Specialist you will play a key role in testing, validating, and automating optical network solutions, ensuring seamless integration between network design, provisioning, and management. You will develop and execute detailed test plans for optical network design tools, working with real network elements and simulators to validate performance. Your expertise in DWDM, CWDM, SONET, OTN, Ethernet, and IP will be essential for fault analysis, performance evaluation, and automation scripting (Python, Java, SQL). You will collaborate closely with development teams, network management teams, and product managers in an Agile environment, using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Jira to enhance testing efficiency. A strong results-driven mindset, independent problem-solving skills, and experience in automation testing will be key to success in this role. You have: Bachelors degree 8- 10 years of experience. Having knowledge of Programming skills with Python, Java and SQL. Worked on DWDM, CWDM, SONET, OTN, Ethernet, IP and GMPLS. Knowledge of Software Tools like Jenkins, Ansible and MS Office. Have a deep understanding of the performance limitations of DWDM systems, transmission properties, and network impairments such as OSNR, PMD, Perform fault analysis to aid in the prioritization of possible test combinations, ensuring a minimal set of tests that provide the desired coverage. Focus on the implementation of automation scripts for all test cases (Python language). Execute tests both manually and using automated scripts. Experience with Optical network planning tool.
