Patient Care and Consultation: Conduct initial assessments and examinations of patients with cardiovascular concerns. Assist in diagnosing and managing a wide range of heart diseases, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart diseases. Interpret diagnostic tests such as ECG, echocardiograms, stress tests, and blood work. Provide appropriate treatment plans for patients, including medication management and lifestyle changes. Collaborate with senior consultants in developing individualized care plans. Procedure Assistance and Participation: Assist in and sometimes perform diagnostic and interventional procedures under the supervision of senior consultants. Participate in catheterizations, angioplasty, pacemaker insertions, and other related procedures. Ensure proper patient preparation, follow-up care, and monitoring post-procedure. Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, thorough, and up-to-date medical records for each patient. Document consultations, procedures, and treatment plans. Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Attend multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes. Patient Education and Counseling: Educate patients and their families about heart health, disease prevention, treatment options, and necessary lifestyle modifications. Provide emotional support and counseling for patients dealing with chronic cardiovascular conditions. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cardiology, including new treatments, medications, and technologies. Participate in continuous medical education, training, and relevant workshops to enhance skills and knowledge in cardiology. Research and Clinical Trials (Optional): Participate in clinical research projects, studies, and trials to contribute to advancing cardiovascular medicine. On-Call Duties (if applicable): Provide on-call services for emergencies related to cardiology, especially in acute care settings.
