Role & responsibilities Position Description: • Understanding the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) based on product design specifications and changes. • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that the EBOM accurately reflects the product structure, components, and configurations as required by Manufacturing. • Troubleshoot and resolve sync failures, data corruption, duplicate objects, and mappings; perform root-cause analysis and preventative measures. • Collaborate with Product development, IT and manufacturing teams to understand and provide solution CAD sync concerns • Define and document synchronization rules, attribute mappings, field transformations, and business logic for CAD and part data. • Maintain a Dashboard to constantly monitor and improve the CAD sync quality Skills Required: CAD, 3D Modeling, Data Migration, Troubleshooting (Problem Solving) Experience Required: • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Automobile, Production or equivalent experience . • 36 years experience working with CAD and PLM/PDM systems like Teamcenter, 3DX etc. • Hands-on experience extracting, transforming, and loading CAD data including large assemblies, drawings, and BOMs. • Knowledge of CAD systems and file formats (Creo, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Inventor; STEP, JT, Parasolid). • Solid understanding of part numbering strategies, lifecycle/release processes, and configuration management principles. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, project management and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Job Purpose To support its growth, John Cockerill Energy Solutions, headquartered in Belgium, is opening an office in Mumbai, and is hiring a Piping Design Engineer. The Piping Design Engineer is an employee responsible of power piping networks design of the products of the Energy Solutions Business line of John Cockerill, HRSGs (Heat Recovery Steam Generators) and Industrial Boilers... He/She is in charge of the spooling of piping networks in the CAD software integrating the different equipment in the 3D model and paying particular attention to interfaces. He/She assures the delivery on time of piping spools isometric drawings according to the milestones defined by the Project Teams. He/She is particularly responsible for delivering his/her work in conformity with internal quality standards as defined in the QMS (quality management system) of the Energy Solutions Business line of John Cockerill. The Piping Designer is responsible for the delivery of the piping isometric drawings and special items detailed manufacturing drawings under the hierarchical responsibility of the Piping Design Manager and the functional responsibility of the Technical Project Manager with the following objectives: Respect of the Design Process as defined in the QMS of the business line, Technical conformity of drawings to internal standards and contractual requirements, Supply of a fast and reliable service to the project teams in order to respect the document and equipment contractual delivery schedules of projects. Key Responsibilities The duties of the Piping Designer are amongst others: Application of the Design Process, Check the completeness of the inputs received from the Technical Project Manager and basic engineering department in order to proceed to his/her work, Integrate equipment in the piping networks in 3D model, Proceed to the spooling of piping networks in the 3D model, Respect the pipe stress analysis reports for piping hangers location, Issue the manufacturing documentation (mainly isometric drawings) in compliance with internal standards and contractual requirements, Provide the engineers with information needed for the project progress, Manage the mechanical interfaces between the different equipment, Issue the manufacturing documentation in compliance with administrative standards, Issue EBOMs (Engineering Bill of Materials) for raw material procurement, Issue and update the standard technical documentation, Keep his competencies updated with regards to the needs of the Business, Be proactive in the continuous improvement and REX (return on experience) processes. Education & Experience B.E. in Mechanical Engineering Certification in Piping Design Engineering 3-8 years relevant experience within an engineering context Background, Skills, and Competencies The Piping Design Engineer has a specialist profile. Job Purpose: The Sourcing is responsible to develop vendors ensuring adequate supply of components for existing/New products as per design changes, / capacity enhancements/ replacements within the cost, quantity and quality targets. The incumbent will lead the team and monitor vendor management, vendor payment processing and vendor performance evaluation. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with various teams to understand product requirements and parts speci?cations Identify potential suppliers and send RFQ to them based on part design and bill of materials received from current engineering team Liaise with vendors/ suppliers on a regular basis for sourcing of components and parts Gauge capability of suppliers by conducting design for manufacturing (DFM) discussions with suppliers Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify modi?cations/ changes required and work towards reducing rejection rates of incoming parts Review order status and ensure adherence to Direct on line targets and business plan targets/vehicle Calculate target costing for components in collaboration with the Cost Management team and ensure that proposed suppliers meet the target band Evaluate performance and propose suppliers based on suitable evaluation in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team Provide technical guidance (mechanical and engineering feedback) to shortlisted suppliers in order to meet component reliability, supply chain e?ciency and overall cost reduction Supervise supplier quality engineers responsible for component release; conduct component inspection audits Resolve quality issues and monitor corrective procedures as per guidelines speci?ed by quality assurance Ensure completion of the Product Part Approval process in collaboration with Current Engineering and Quality assurance team Ensure a smooth handover to procurement team for sourcing material for start of production runs Battery & On Board Charger: Should have experience in development of Cells, Battery Packs and other Battery Pack child parts, Chargers, DC-DC Converters Experience in eBOM and cell sourcing, Price settlements & RM indexing of cells is added advantage Should have experience in EV Parts Sourcing, Vendor Development, Costing, Negotiation and Price Settlement Should have the exposure in Cost estimation for the Battery Pack & Chargers, DC-DC Converters Technical understanding on Battery Pack assembly / Manufacturing, BMS and OBC assy, Hardware and Software. Ability to understand the Battery engineering & BMS, draws and performance curves E- Component , TIM, connectors & contactors knowledge Should have the knowledge on Supplier base on EV components (Proto & Mass Production) Awareness of Market Trends, Domestic & Global govt policies, Impact analysis, Competitive Benchmark data, Market Intelligence Awareness on Automotive standards / Testing related to Chargers, Cells, Battery Packs, BMS, Thermals etc., Working knowledge of manufacturing and system processes (PPAP, APQP) SAP MM & PLM user experience. Work Experience Education: Bachelors Engineering degree Electrical & Electronics / Power Electronics / ECE.
