Role & responsibilities Expertise in NPD costing electronics commodities like active , passive , PCD , LCD and others specifically power electronics components Holding accountability on over all costing and being window contact to internal customers. • Bench marking , quotes consolidations . Knowledge on semiconductor components like, MCU, IC, sensors and others . Total EBOM cost value analysis . Optimized zero base costing VAVE identifications and execution responsibility . Group consolidation for negotiation and budgeting process Working experience with global component Mfr and global distributors to stream line segment strategies . Early involvement during design stage for components / supplier selections . Close engagement with engineering centers to drive complete segment directions and alignments / Innovation joint meetings. Identify total requirement of allocated components based on annual production targets and create sourcing strategy in coordination with various stakeholders Carry Out NPD Costings for the respective products as per accountability Identify critical components and coordinate with respective businesses to reduce cost and identification of new vendors Keep up-to-date information on technology, market events, new products, new standards, revised standardization guidelines, etc, for procurement of items being handled by self Identify new products (based on need of localization) required to be developed and identify new vendors to develop new products.
