Role & responsibilities : Manager- Electrical Design Experience Minimum 15 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, preferably in Consulting or EPC firms. Should have handled Coal-fired, Combined Cycle Power Plants, Oil & Gas, or Chemical projects. Principal Accountabilities Perform basic and detailed engineering for EPC power plant projects. Prepare Electrical Load List, Key Single Line Diagrams (SLD). Conduct sizing calculations for Transformers, Bus Ducts, Switchgear, Cables, Battery, Battery Chargers, and UPS. Design and prepare control schematics and block logic diagrams. Select CTs, PTs, and protective relays for electrical systems. Prepare interconnect summaries between electrical equipment and control panels/DCS. Coordinate with vendors for Technical Assistance (TA) at site. Troubleshoot faults and provide technical support to Testing & Commissioning teams. Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical equipment: HV Motors, Power and Distribution Transformers, MV/LV Switchgear, Relay settings, and coordination. Handle inter-discipline coordination with Civil, Mechanical, and Instrumentation teams. Create system drawings (SLDs, layout plans, wiring diagrams, voltage drop calculation, Earthing calculation, LT/HT Design) using AutoCAD and PVsyst. Conduct energy simulations, load analysis, and shadow studies. Ensure designs comply with electrical codes (NEC/IEC/IEEE) and utility standards. Coordinate with procurement, construction, and permitting teams. Provide technical support during pre-sales, installation, and commissioning.
