Role Overview: As a CAD designer at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for assisting Project/Senior engineers in cooling system projects. Your primary task will involve creating 2D drawings from 3D models for manufacturing, assembly, and customer approval. You will work with Solid Edge, a 3D CAD software, and collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure accurate and detailed drawings. Key Responsibilities: - Create general arrangement and layout drawings of cooling systems from 3D models - Prepare pipe assembly and manufacturing drawings - Develop pipe support and support structure drawings - Generate assembly drawings and pump unit frame structure manufacturing drawings - Update drawings and documents based on customer feedback or as-built information - Assist in CAD-component management - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines - Maintain and update project documentation according to quality processes Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably Solid Edge, but SolidWorks or Inventor is acceptable - Experience in communication via Microsoft Teams - Strong communication skills with an easy-to-understand English accent - Knowledge of Liquid Piping systems/components and welded structures is advantageous - 3-5 years of experience with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Additional Company Details: Hitachi Energy values safety and integrity, emphasizing personal responsibility and care for colleagues and the business.
