Performs accurate and timely month and year end reporting and consolidation. Develops and monitors the implementation of accounting related timetables such as monthly close and quarterly German GAAP compliance. Advises on monthly income statements with emphasis on production variances. Maintains and secures the assets of the plant by ensuring an adequate system of internal controls is in place to safeguard company assets. Reviews the activities of accounting department personnel, including the posting of journal entries, payment of invoices, billing completed, contractual cost reduction obligations and all actions are appropriately recorded for tracking purposes to ensure all departmental work is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Assists on tax-related projects as necessary. Maintains current knowledge of US GAAP as well as Fiscal and technical techniques.
