DTP Operator – Academic Book Design

Job Description:

We are looking for a Graphic Designer / DTP Operator with strong experience in academic book design and proficiency in Adobe InDesign. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing visually appealing, structured, and print-ready academic books that adhere to educational and publication standards.

Contract Basis

Duration: 6 Months

Work From Office Only

Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and layout academic books, textbooks, and educational materials using Adobe InDesign.
• Work closely with content and subject matter experts to ensure designs align with learning objectives.
• Develop page layouts, cover designs, infographics, and diagrams suited for print and digital formats.
• Maintain consistency in typography, color schemes, and formatting across all pages.
• Prepare print-ready files (PDF/X standards) and coordinate with printers for final output.
• Implement feedback from editors and project coordinators within timelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (mandatory).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in designing books, preferably academic or educational publications.
• Good understanding of print design principles, layout composition, and typography.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in K–12, higher education, or academic publishing.
• Understanding of typesetting, page flow, and content structuring for textbooks.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
