Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen support. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the restaurant in accordance with health and safety regulations. Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling of staff. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering food, beverages, and supplies. Oversee opening and closing duties, including cash handling and shift reports. Enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards. Work collaboratively with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service. Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
Guest ServiceGreet guests warmly and assist them in seating. Present menus and explain daily specials or recommendations. Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service. Serve food and drinks according to restaurant standards. Attend to guest needs, inquiries, and complaints professionally. Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction through attentive service. OperationsSet up dining areas before service (table arrangement, cutlery, napkins, condiments, etc.). Clear and clean tables promptly. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area. Support kitchen staff in delivering orders and returning used dishes. Ensure proper handling of food and beverages following hygiene and safety standards. Hygiene & SafetyMaintain personal grooming and uniform standards. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Ensure the work area is clean, sanitized, and stocked. Teamwork & CommunicationWork closely with fellow waitstaff, kitchen staff, and supervisors. Relay guest requests or concerns to the supervisor when necessary. Participate in team briefings and training sessions. Qualifications & SkillsPrevious experience as a steward, waiter, or in a similar role (preferred but not mandatory). Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer-service orientation. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards. Ability to stand for long hours and handle physical tasks.
