The Key Account Executive will play a dual role of Business Development and Program Management to drive revenue growth, manage key defence & aerospace accounts, and ensure successful program execution from proposal to delivery. This role demands a high level of client engagement, technical understanding, and cross-functional coordination to ensure success in both B2B and B2G ecosystems. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Development (B2B/B2G): Develop, manage, and grow relationships with strategic clients across the defence and aerospace ecosystem (MOD, DRDO, armed forces, system integrators, PSUs). Identify new opportunities in the B2G and B2B domains including tenders, RFPs, EOIs, and Make-II/IDEX/TDF schemes. Lead proposal submissions, technical bid support, pricing, and contract negotiations in coordination with engineering and legal teams. Represent the company at defence expos, capability demonstrations, industry events, and high-level presentations to stakeholders. Engage with start-up cells, innovation hubs (e.g., iDEX, DISC, DIO), and state defence corridors to unlock opportunities. 2. Key Account Management: Act as the single point of contact for assigned key clients ensuring satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities. Track client needs, anticipate requirements, and ensure regular product upgrades/customizations where applicable. Build a deep understanding of client operational requirements to tailor solutions effectively. 3. Program Management: Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, logistics, compliance, manufacturing) to ensure timely and quality execution of programs. Ensure all deliveries, field trials, and client milestones are met as per contract obligations. Maintain dashboards, MIS reports, and stakeholder updates for ongoing projects. Manage post-sales support, AMC/CMC contracts, and client training requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Defence Studies / Aviation or allied fields. MBA or PGDM is a plus. 26 years of experience in business development, defence sales, or program management , preferably in UAV, aerospace, or defence tech domains. Strong understanding of the Indian defence procurement ecosystem, DAP 2020, Make categories, and offset frameworks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to pitch technical products convincingly. Comfortable working in fast-paced, lean team environments with tight deadlines. Ability to travel frequently for client meetings, demonstrations, and program execution. Preferred Experience: Prior work with DRDO projects, defence PSUs, or private defence manufacturers. Exposure to UAV / Drone domain will be highly preferred. Knowledge of government e-marketplace (GeM), eProc portals, and project bidding.
