E&I Engineer Bauxite Handling System / Material Handling System (MHS) Job Title: E&I Engineer Bauxite Handling System / Material Handling System (MHS) Location: [Odisha] Experience: 6 to 8 Years Qualification: B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced E&I Engineer to oversee the Electrical & Instrumentation operations and maintenance activities for our Bauxite Handling System / Material Handling System (MHS) . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in handling electrical systems, PLC/SCADA-based control systems, field instrumentation, and preventive maintenance of equipment in an industrial setup, preferably in the aluminium or mining sector. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and execute all E&I maintenance and troubleshooting activities for Bauxite Handling / MHS. Ensure smooth operation of electrical panels, MCCs, VFDs, and field instruments. Hands-on knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, sensor calibration, and control loop tuning. Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. Coordinate with mechanical and operations teams for shutdown and breakdown maintenance. Maintain inventory of critical E&I spares and initiate procurement as required. Prepare daily and monthly maintenance reports, downtime analysis, and RCA. Ensure compliance with all safety and statutory requirements. Guide and supervise a team of technicians and contractors. Liaise with OEMs and service providers for major repairs and upgrades. Key Skills: Strong knowledge of HT/LT Electrical systems, Drives (ABB/Siemens preferred), and switchgear. Experience in Instrumentation like load cells, belt weigher, proximity sensors, encoders, limit switches, etc. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and team coordination abilities. Preferred Industry: Mining, Metals, Aluminium, Cement, Power, or any heavy engineering sector with bulk material handling systems.

This job includes maintaining and fixing modern machines used in the industry. Work areas include pneumatic control systems, basic bench fitting, drive systems, lubrication systems, and the use of precision measuring tools. 1. Responsible for maintenance of Automation and Instrumentation systems of Steel Plant. 2. To Ensure Spares Availability and Inventory management ensuring the minimum & maximum levels of critical spares. 3. Knowledge in Maintenance &; Trouble shooting of DCS & PLC System 4. Exposure to MV and LV VFDs of Siemens MV (Perfect Harmony), TMEIC MV, S120 & G120 drives etc. 5. Hands on experience of ABB 800xA DCS Platform & PLC (AB, Siemens) system. Logic development, Software trouble shooting, Graphic development, Alarm, event, trend & Report configuration. Logic development in FBD, ST, SFC, Ladder logic. Supporting new automation initiatives at Plant (e.g., local communication, Efficiency improvement tools etc). 6. Maintaining Backup of all automation systems viz DCS, PLC ES/OS PCS7 & VVVF Drive, Controllers and settings of Protection relays and updating documents. 7. Exposure to Siemens S7 PLC ES / OS, WinCC. 8. Preparation/ modification /trouble shooting of Siemens S7400/300/1500 /1200 PLCs Hardware and Software systems. 9. Upkeep of records of Calibration of Instrumentation systems various Level Transmitters, Pressure & temperature transmitters and Weigh Feeders, Belt Scales etc 11. Hands on knowledge of instruments like Moisture Analysers, Gas Analysers, CV Analysers, Emission monitoring Analysers PT, FT, LT, Actuators. 12. Carrying out maintenance as per SAP PM schedule and its compliance. 13. Implementing measures to make the operation process easy, effective and user friendly. 14. RCA & its corrective actions to ensure elimination of repetitive failure. 15. Exposure to implementation of TQM, keen understanding of ISO, OHSAS, 6 Sigma and lean management systems. 16. To ensure 100% Safe Work Practices, Implementation of Safety Standards, HIRA and Revision of SOPs/SMPs. 17. Understanding operational requirements, carrying out Safety Audits, Third Party Inspections, coordination with cross functional teams. 18. Manpower management to proficiently oversee a team of 20 employees.
