You will be responsible for managing freight shipments, cultivating relationships with carriers, and ensuring seamless logistics operations. Preference will be given to candidates with an established book of business. Your duties will include generating leads, attracting new prospects, and developing a robust sales pipeline. You will negotiate competitive rates with carriers to ensure optimal pricing and superior service levels. Additionally, you will expand an existing book of business with a focus on drayage services, while actively identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities. Managing the end-to-end supply chain process, including vendor management, procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics, and distribution will be part of your responsibilities. You must ensure full compliance with industry regulations and company policies. To qualify for this position, you need a minimum of 6 months of proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics role. Candidates with an established book of business, particularly in drayage, are preferred. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and customer service skills are required. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and fostering strong client relationships is essential. You should have the ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
