The ideal candidate should have a background in sheet metal design and fabrication, with experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings for electrical control panel enclosures and related assemblies . Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed fabrication drawings , part drawings, and assembly drawings for sheet metal components and control panel enclosures using SolidWorks . Convert concepts and sketches into manufacturable drawings. Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure drawings are accurate, practical, and feasible for production. Coordinate with the mechanical design engineer to update and revise drawings based on design changes or feedback. Maintain drawing records and ensure proper file management and version control. Generate DXF files and cut lists for CNC and laser cutting machines. Assist in resolving any design or fabrication issues during the production process. Ensure that all drawings meet industry and company standards in terms of accuracy, format, and presentation. Optimize designs to minimize material waste and improve production efficiency. Requirements: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proficient in SolidWorks (especially sheet metal module). Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication , material types, bend allowances, and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. Basic knowledge of fabrication tools, welding, and assembly processes. Attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy. Ability to work under production timelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: Experience with AutoCAD and generating DXF files for CNC/laser cutting. Understanding of control panel components and layout is a plus. Familiarity with ERP systems for BOM generation and tracking.
