Job Summary: This position identifies and manages all New Product Introduction (NPI) /New Market Introduction (NMI) programs for the product group. They communicate with product groups during collaboration meetings to determine product support and parts stocking strategies. Responsible for improving Aftermarket NPI parts availability. What You Will Do: The incumbent is primarily responsible for achieving the Aftermarket Parts readiness metrics required at NPI Gateway 6 to meet the product group’s Parts Stocking goals prior to first ship date of the new product/program. Current targets include meeting 100% stocking for critical parts, >95% availability for all serviceable parts within sales region and >90% stocking of Class A & B parts. This may involve working with various groups including global purchasing, supplier expediting, service engineers, and product group collaboration meetings. The Inventory Analyst will manage and analyze engineering drawing notices (EDNs) released for NPI, CPI, and major product updates prior to target release date. (EDNs are notifications of the original release of engineering drawings and subsequent changes to them.) This includes analyzing engineering drawing notices for quality, completeness, and when necessary, resolving issues with engineering. The Inventory Analyst will also utilize systems, their own product knowledge, and EDN information to determine application/product specific serviceability of parts i.e. can the part be serviced and at what level piece part, assembly, group, etc. The Inventory Analyst will create master parts records (an all-inclusive record for an item), validate critical part description indicators, issue cancellations, and submit changes to Numerical Parts Record (NPR). Inventory Analyst will establish initial worldwide inventory levels by analyzing distribution plans, sales and forecast information, product knowledge, and product group information. Incumbent will establish and maintain a business balance between parts availability and months of supply. Various NPI and CPI reports and tools are used to adjust stocking levels in the correct market regions. Each analyst will manage 1M to $5M worth of inventory as they process an average of 6000 to 8000 EDNs and 15 NPIs annually. The Inventory Analyst partners with Procurement and Global Parts Supply teams to ensure Aftermarket parts readiness for successful launch of new products. He/she will also partner with business units in improving NPI parts availability for the first 36 months. The incumbent will communicate with internal and external business partners to resolve complex issues that will impact quality of service and customer satisfaction. The Inventory Analyst participates in the development of new IT tools to specifically manage overall NPI process and contribute to enterprise transformation initiatives that continue to refine, enhance, and create process improvement to support the NPI business. Inventory Analyst should have full functional knowledge of NPI Authorizations process and work on various Product Group workload. This role is essential for managing the preparation and accuracy of Bills of Quantities (BoQ), maintaining up-to-date project trackers, and ensuring the highest standards of document hygiene. The Senior Planner will play a critical role in supporting the team to achieve seamless project execution and client satisfaction. AREAS OF OWNERSHIP & ACCOUNTABILITY BoQ Management: Oversee the preparation, review, and accuracy of Bills of Quantities, ensuring all quantities and specifications are comprehensive and precise Design and Drawing Delivery: Coordinate the timely delivery of high-quality Master planning and MEP designs and drawings, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards. Project Tracking: Maintain and update project trackers regularly to reflect the current status, deadlines, and progress of all Master planning and MEP design activities. Document Hygiene: Ensure all documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports, are accurately filed, easily accessible, and maintained in an organized manner. Communication and Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth project progression. DELIVERABLES Accurate BoQ: Detailed and accurate Bills of Quantities for all projects, reflecting the required materials, quantities, and costs. Preliminary Budget : Preparing Preliminary Master planning and MEP budget as per concept design Detailed BoQ : Preparing detailed BOQ as per the GFC set Material and Labour rates : Maintaining (with quarterly updation ) master rate data base relevant for Master planning and MEP design with separate labour and material rates for easy reference Master Specifications : Maintaining master specifications sheet for all Master planning and MEP line items for easy reference Design Documentation: Complete and high-quality design documents and drawings delivered on schedule. Transmittals : Oversee preparation of transmittal as per the master drawing list for relevant GFC package issuance GFC's : Issuing GFC package to central planning team ensuring the drawings are with correct sheet numbers, titles, revision numbers, etc as per details mentioned in corresponding transmittal. RFI's : Keeping track of RFI sent by site team and ensuring appropriate response / acknowledgment email is sent within 2 days of receiving the same. Sending out responses to RFI as per correct format and set protocol. Site Instructions : Issuing site instruction to site team by following issuance protocol and drawing quality standard (ensuring the document format, drawing number, title, etc. as well as the file name is correctly mentioned. Updated Trackers: Regularly updated project trackers providing real-time insights into project status, milestones, and deadlines. WPS : Updating the WPS tracker and reviewing all design batches with respect to design closure and dependencies Master Drawing List : Preparing and updating the master drawing list for corresponding WPS goals / design batches Design Fee Schedule : Co-ordinating with other team for batch closure and updation of design fee schedule RFI Tracker : Keeping track of RFI's and updating project tracker on a weekly basis Site Instruction Tracker : Keeping track of site instructions and updating project tracker on a weekly basis Unit Tracker : Co-ordinating with other teams to create central data base tracker of units that need to be worked on for Master planning and MEP Design and feasibility checks (default + variants +personalized units) and updating the tracker on regular basis (weekly) Organized Documents: Well-maintained and organized document repositories, ensuring all documents are easily retrievable and up to date. Maintaining Master folder for Master planning and MEP projects, ensuring project folders are up to date with latest files Filing and updating data folder with latest issued transmittal and GFC drawing package ensuring correct file naming standards Filing the RFI responses in designated folder on regular basis (weekly) upon issuance to site. Filing the site instructions in designated folder on regular basis (weekly) upon issuance to site. Communication: DTM's : Attending DTMs and co-ordination meetings / coordinating with other team to keep track of ongoing / upcoming critical tasks with respect to project delivery in co-ordination with other stakeholders Planning priority of units that need to be worked on to check design feasibility in co-ordination with CPMO and communicating it to team Requirement : 5+ yrs experience with Master degree from reputed university
