Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Interior Design Draftsman to join our team. You will be responsible for translating conceptual designs for our jewellery retail spaces and displays into precise, technical drawings and plans using CAD software. This role involves close collaboration with our design and production teams to ensure all designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meet quality and building standards.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed technical drawings:
Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed joinery plans for interior design projects.
Collaborate on design concepts:
Work closely with interior designers, architects, and project managers to understand design intent and project requirements.
Ensure compliance and accuracy:
Verify that all designs and drawings comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Revise and update drawings:
Modify existing drawings and plans based on feedback from designers, clients, and production teams to accommodate changes in design or scope.
Prepare documentation:
Assist in preparing project documentation, material specifications, finish selections, and presentations for client approval or construction teams.
Manage drawing files:
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all design files, revisions, and project documentation.
Coordinate with production:
Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to ensure the accurate execution of designs and resolve any technical issues during the build phase.
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise in relevant design software (e.g.,
AutoCAD
).
