Responsible for engineering, design, and modification activities related to mechanical equipment, vessels and tanks and piping systems including equipment and piping specifications and procurement. May be involved with the support of installation and operation & maintenance of equipment. Discipline concerning air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, combustion, heat transfer, energy, power, fuels, propulsion, machinery, tools, manufacturing, fluids, plumbing, fire suppression systems and devices, water supplies and pumping systems for fire protection. Discipline covers the ability to solve problems that deliver and optimise safe, sustainable and ethical solutions for the design, production and operation of devices, machines, structures, processes and systems involving mechanical elements. Duties and Responsibilities €¢ Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team €¢ Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. €¢ Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others. €¢ Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. €¢ Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. €¢ Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. €¢ Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. €¢ Prepares technical specification sections. €¢ Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Qualifications BE in Mechanical Engineering. 10+ years of experience working in Mechanical Engineering design. Experience in the UK & UAE Building projects. To work for the design of the Health Care, residential, commercial, retail and hospitality sectors. Experience in the design of the PHE. Provide technical expertise when applying public health engineering principles, techniques and methods to the planning and design of building services projects. Experience in the design of Public Health Engineering (Sanitary and stormwater drainage, cold and hot water domestic water supply, gas storage and distribution systems, miscellaneous piping services, etc.) Experience in software (IES, HAP, Trace, and Elite), MEP Revit, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
