Draftsman - Autocad or Solid works

Job Title: Draftsman (AutoCAD / SolidWorks 3D)

A manufacturing company located at Guduvancherry near Chennai. It is a fully owned subsidiary of a Miami based American company Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators LLC.,

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Develop assembly, part, and fabrication drawings based on design concepts.
• Prepare GA (General Arrangement) drawings, sectional views, and BOMs.
• Modify and update existing drawings as per design revisions or client requirements.
• Coordinate with design, production, and engineering teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company specifications.
• Assist in prototyping, modelling, and visualization of components and assemblies.
• Maintain organized documentation and drawing records.
• Support engineers in project execution and design improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors in engineering (Design & Drafting)
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (3D modelling is a must).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and materials.
• Ability to create detailed assembly and part drawings.
• Good knowledge of GD&T and drafting standards.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Preferred (Optional):

• Experience with sheet metal, fabrication, or product design.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems.
• Knowledge of rendering or simulation tools in SolidWorks.
