Job Title: Draftsman & 3D CAD Modelling Engineer

Qualification: Diploma and/or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience: 0 – 5 years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman & 3D CAD Modelling Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate 2D and 3D engineering drawings, supporting the design and development of mechanical components, tools, jigs, fixtures, and assemblies. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and CAD tools to translate design concepts into precise technical documentation.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models for mechanical parts, assemblies, jigs, fixtures, and other components using industry-standard CAD software.
• Interpret and convert design concepts, sketches, and technical inputs from engineers or designers into detailed and accurate drawings.
• Develop layout, detailed, and exploded-view drawings in compliance with internal and industry standards.
• Update and revise drawings as per engineering change requests or feedback from design, production, and quality teams.
• Ensure strict adherence to tolerances, material specifications, and drawing norms.
• Maintain proper drawing documentation, version control, and record management for all projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve drawing or design-related queries efficiently.
• Support design validation and prototyping processes through accurate and clear technical documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM) based on approved drawings.
• Maintain and organize a structured drawing database for easy accessibility and retrieval.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and mechanical design principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
