DP Biology Facilitator

Role Overview: Join Bloomingdale International School as an IBDP Biology Facilitator and be a part of a dedicated team that aims to educate and inspire the next generation. As a facilitator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in IBDP Biology, guiding students through assessments, facilitating laboratory work, collaborating with fellow faculty members, providing student mentorship, ensuring compliance with IB standards, and continuously enhancing your professional development. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in IBDP Biology (SL & HL), aligning with IB standards and inquiry-based learning approaches. - Design and implement formative and summative assessments, provide detailed feedback, and guide students through Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays (EEs) in Biology. - Supervise hands-on laboratory investigations, ensuring safety protocols are followed. - Collaborate with other IB faculty members to integrate TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) into the Biology curriculum. - Offer academic and pastoral support to students, preparing them for university applications and future careers in science. - Maintain IB-required documentation such as unit planners, lesson plans, and student progress reports. - Stay updated with IB curriculum changes, attend workshops, and enhance subject knowledge and pedagogical skills. Qualification Required: - Masters/Bachelors degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field. - Minimum 3-5 years of experience teaching IBDP Biology (SL & HL) in an IB school. - Strong understanding of IB pedagogy, assessments, and curriculum frameworks. - Experience in guiding students through IB Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays (EEs). - Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment, technology integration in teaching, and data analysis tools.,
