DOT Compliance Coordinator

You are an asset-based trucking company situated in Carson, California, actively searching for a committed and skilled DOT Compliance Coordinator to become a valuable member of your team. Your contribution will play a vital role in guaranteeing that your team of truck drivers adheres to the regulations set by the Department of Transportation (DOT) at both state and federal levels. Your responsibilities will include overseeing regulatory compliance to ensure that all drivers are in accordance with DOT regulations, managing and supervising various protocols such as random drug testing, updated licensing, Motor Vehicle Records (MVR), driver qualification files, auditing, motive logins/logouts, pre/post trip inspections, preparing disciplinary action forms, and updating employee files. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Safety Director and Safety Manager to facilitate compliance actions and report any infractions, missing documents, or non-compliance issues to the safety department. The ideal candidate should possess prior experience working within a transportation company and be well-versed with DOT and safety regulation laws, particularly within a US-based company. Key skills required for this role include the ability to multitask, effective communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, keen attention to detail, capability to provide reports and updates to staff members, and assertiveness.
