MEP EngineerJob Description:To review MEP drawings and specifications.Coordinate with architects, structural engineer, interior designer and landscape consultants.Provide technical advice to staff designer, supervisor, and contracting service provider regarding installation and maintenance of MEP system.Analyse mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions.Plan, organize the review and evaluate the work of contractors, and others. MEP engineers should know MS Office, and construction project management software.Prepare and deliver effective oral presentations whenever required.Advise the Project Director of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, e.g., quality or snag.Continually review the contractor's construction schedule during the progress of the site works regarding MEP services and report to the project director on the same.Manage the day-to-day work of the MEP team for quality. In conjunction with the document controller, ensure that the filing / logging of the MEP documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitor the same.Take part in risk workshops and report any risks associated with MEP installations or general projects to the Project Director.Review the Contractor's installation method statements.Review Contractor's shop drawings against the design drawings for compliance with the design intent and return to Project Director with appropriate comments/approval within the specified contractual period.Review contractor's mechanical shop drawing in conjunction with the structural and electrical engineers to ensure engineering coordination and advise the Project Director accordingly.Where required, prepare technical clarifications to the tendered design to suit specific on-site construction and coordination issues.Review Contractor's mechanical services material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise the Project Director on the appropriateness of the recommendations.Job Specification:Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering7 Years & above Relevant experience of MEP in High Rise Residential Projects

Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance (QA):Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP) for construction activities.Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, safety regulations, and client specifications.Monitor and evaluate material quality, construction methods, and workmanship.Assist in developing and conducting training programs on quality standards and procedures for project teams.Quality Control (QC):Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Supervise and verify all structural, architectural, and MEP works for compliance with quality requirements.Identify non-conformances (NCRs), document deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Oversee material testing and ensure test results meet the project requirements.Documentation & Reporting:Prepare QA/QC reports, inspection records, test reports, and material approval documents.Maintain a proper document control system for all quality-related records.Liaise with consultants, contractors, and third-party inspectors to resolve quality-related issues.Coordination & Compliance:Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are met.Conduct pre-inspection meetings and ensure all necessary approvals before execution.Ensure that all quality-related activities align with ISO 9001, local building standards, and safety protocols.Coordinate with client representatives and regulatory bodies for inspections and approvals.
