As a Field Technician at Gilco Global, you will be responsible for managing the complete technical cycle of elevator systems, from the installation and commissioning to the ongoing maintenance and service. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the company's commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction across various project sites and occupied buildings. You will have the following key responsibilities: Installation & Commissioning: - Installing lift systems including rails, cabin, motor, and wiring in compliance with OEM and safety standards. - Executing electrical wiring, shaft work, and mechanical assembly tasks. - Performing full commissioning activities such as panel configuration, testing, and safety validations. - Coordinating with sales, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure timely execution. - Supporting final inspection and completing client handover documentation. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: - Conducting scheduled preventive maintenance visits for installed lifts. - Handling breakdown calls, diagnosing faults, and implementing repairs promptly. - Ensuring compliance with safety devices and emergency operations like alarm systems, ARD, and door sensors. - Replacing worn-out parts and maintaining service logs through mobile apps like FieldCircle. Site Reporting & Documentation: - Maintaining accurate daily logs, service checklists, and commissioning sheets. - Recording all work performed, materials used, and obtaining client sign-off. - Coordinating handover processes between installation and AMC/service teams. Customer & Team Interaction: - Serving as a professional point of contact for clients during installation and service phases. - Clearly communicating issues, timelines, and resolutions to clients. - Coordinating with internal service coordinators and supervisors. - Educating clients on basic lift operation and care post-installation. Safety, Quality & Compliance: - Adhering to all PPE and site-specific safety regulations. - Ensuring alignment of tasks with IS code, EN81, OEM specifications, and company SOPs. - Promptly reporting hazards and non-conformities. Qualifications: - Education: ITI/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical - Experience: 1-4 years (Experience in the lift industry preferred, freshers with internship can apply) - Technical Knowledge: Installation & wiring of lift components, troubleshooting control systems, understanding lift safety devices and emergency protocols. Qualifications: - Education: ITI/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical. - Experience: Minimum of 1-4 years (Experience in the lift industry preferred, freshers with internship experience can also apply). - Technical Knowledge: - Proficiency in installation and wiring of lift components. - Ability to troubleshoot microprocessor-based control systems. - Familiarity with lift safety devices, relays, door sensors, and emergency protocols. Key Skills: - Strong discipline in site management and documentation. - Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in electrical fault analysis. - Basic proficiency in using digital reporting tools like FieldCircle or similar platforms. - Excellent communication skills for client interactions. - Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
