Responsibilities: Lead process development to improve battery performance to meet final product performance and reliability requirements. Design and run well-designed experiments based on DOE methodologies. Perform battery physical characteristic analysis and extract critical insights. Effectively collaborate with colleagues around the world - in California, India, Korea and Malaysia. Perform FMEA and root cause analysis. Effectively communicate the results to various stakeholders. Qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2+ years industry experience. Strong knowledge of battery chemistry and physics is desirable. Experience working with battery testers or related electronics is a plus. Experience with using leading-edge battery and/or semiconductor material characterization techniques to drive failure analysis, understand degradation mechanisms, or improve yield. Experience with statistical analysis methods to drive experiment design and conclusions. Demonstrated capability to effectively analyze process data and extract/summarize meaningful information.
