Join us as a PA Monitoring Analyst at Barclays, responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. As a PA Monitoring Analyst at Barclays, you will have experience with monitoring and investigating infrastructure privileged access logs & alert queues. Your responsibilities will include reviewing the alerts and security incidents upon identification of any issues/process violation, tracking and reporting related security incidents, reviewing access violation reports, investigating possible exceptions, documenting controls, making recommendations, retaining and storing evidences, and coordinating and posting responses. You will also provide regular reports to stakeholders, identify, document, and flag incidents where investigations cannot be progressed further due to missing or insufficient information, and actively contribute to driving service to offer the best level of available service to our customer base. In this role, you will act as the technical first point of contact internally and externally for technical queries, escalate issues as appropriate, represent the team at technical and management meetings as required, promote the use of Technical Standards, Procedures, and Best Practices, maximize the use of toolsets and automation, share knowledge with peers for self and team development, work on service improvement initiatives, and participate in automation and process documentation/implementation. Basic understanding of Investment Banking/Finance, knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, UNIX, databases (Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, DB2), Middleware, Mainframe, and exposure to monitoring tools will be essential. You will be expected to have professional certifications, knowledge of Audit/Governance, basic knowledge of access monitoring tools (e.g. Cyber Ark, Power Broker), confident communication skills across different technical levels, strong analytical and logical skills, sound knowledge of ITIL best practices, understanding of SPLUNK/ESaaS logs, and good interpersonal skills. The role is based in Pune and aims to effectively monitor and maintain the bank's critical technology infrastructure while resolving more complex technical issues with minimal disruption to operations. Your accountabilities will include providing technical support for the service management function, executing preventative maintenance tasks, maintaining a knowledge base, analyzing system logs and user reports, automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency, business continuity management, and proactively assessing support activities. As an Analyst at Barclays, you are expected to perform activities in a timely manner to a high standard, drive continuous improvement, demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge and experience, lead and supervise a team, guide and support professional development, and collaborate with other functions and business areas. You will be responsible for end results of a team's operational processing and activities, escalate breaches of policies/procedure appropriately, advise and influence decision-making, manage risk, and strengthen controls in your area of work.
