Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a numerate degree Microsoft 365 or Azure certification is highly desirable. Essential Experience and Job Requirements: Essential work, business, technical or operational experience which an applicant must possess, otherwise they will be unable to adequately perform the job. Consider what is truly essential as we do not want to screen out candidates who could do the job with non- traditional backgrounds. Therefore, the wording used should be specific and explicit. Demonstrable Knowledge in the application of modern Service Delivery methods - Site Reliability Engineering to traditional ITIL, and understanding of Product Based delivery Strong Communications skills and a high ‘EQ’ with the ability to operate across complex business environments and stakeholders up to senior executive level Detailed knowledge of Exchange 2019 Hybrid Infrastructure, Directory synchronization, Azure Active Directory, Load Balancer, Quest Migration tool, Email Security Standards like SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration, service, and support as well as SMTP gateway management at enterprise scale. Good knowledge of load balancers, spam management tools and concepts, Azure services like Azure AD. Proficiency in other Microsoft 365 services, such as SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive, and their integration with Exchange Online. Desirable criteria Desirable criteria are those that may enable the candidate to perform better & qualifications or require a shorter familiarization period. During the selection process evidence should be sought to gain an understanding of the extent to which candidates who satisfied the minimum criteria demonstrate the desired criteria for the role. Recent M365 experience and ability to maintain the Microsoft Exchange 2019 (Hybrid) infrastructure. Working Knowledge of Exchange server, Software, service pack installation, troubleshoot various server related issues, troubleshoot NDRs, tracking emails etc. Understanding of EOP, and SMTP email gateways. Experience with Kemp Load balancer and Retarus email gateway is a plus. Configure and troubleshoot all aspects of Exchange DNS: Autodiscover, MX, SPF, PTR, etc. Possess in-depth knowledge of email security standards like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Manage these standards to enhance email security. Knowledge of Quest email migration tools and the Red Sift OnDmarc platform is advantageous. Strong Active Directory, Group Policy Management (GPO) knowledge. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing email client-related queries and troubleshooting issues with Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Web App (OWA). Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating Exchange Online tasks and enhancing operational efficiency. Implement and adhere to ITIL processes and best practices for incident management, problem management, change management, and service request fulfillment. Utilize service management toolsets, such as ServiceNow, to effectively manage and track incidents, changes, and service requests. Create and maintain documentation, including technical guides and procedures, for Exchange Online administration and end-user support. Participate in On-Call support rotations, helping and resolving critical issues outside of regular business hours. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Collaborate with vendors and support teams to resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. The development of a supportive and collaborative knowledge sharing culture to drive the successful adoption of technology solutions for knowledge management. Providing access to informal, tacit knowledge as well as formal, documented, explicit knowledge by facilitating internal and external collaboration and communications. Information security - The selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of controls and management strategies to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and relevant compliance of information systems with legislation, regulation and relevant standards. Metrics definition and Instrumentation - The development and operation of a measurement capability to support agreed organizational information needs. The planning, implementation, and control of activities to measure attributes of processes, products, and services in order to assess performance, progress, and provide indications and insights to actual or potential problems, issues, and risks. Service operations and resiliency - The ability to build and operate services and applications at scale with automation to maintain high levels of availability. To do this, a combination of activities are required from the initial design and sizing of the infrastructure, network, and constituent components to determine throughput (# of transactions/requests, users) through to service health metrics, monitoring, alarming, and remediation. Each of these areas will combine human effort (e.g., a human is paged) as well as automated steps and tools to reduce operational burden and overhead. Source control and code management - The practice of tracking and managing changes to code to help to resolve conflicts when merging contributions from multiple sources. This includes the use of best practices such as using pull requests and trunk based development, running automated testing and static analysis pre-commit, and preventing build breaks through automation/rollbacks. Testing and Quality Assurance - Measure and maintain a high level of code quality from development through deployment to production. This includes automated and manual testing, including but not limited to: unit testing, static analysis, functional testing, UI testing, load testing, chaos testing. Testing should be done throughout the development lifecycle (agile) rather than being reserved to a specific milestone (waterfall). This is a tactical, hands-on role focused on planning and executing multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, push, in-app) that drive new customer acquisition and maximise database value. You’ll own campaign execution, optimise journey performance, and lead strategic segmentation initiatives using tools like Braze, Liquid, HTML, SQL, Tableau, and Figma. You must have a strong grasp of email deliverability, be detail-oriented with QA, and bring a commercial mindset to lifecycle execution. We’re seeking someone who thrives on automating behavioural journeys, is highly organised with impeccable campaign calendar ownership, and can activate and monetise the database across multiple products and member needs. Responsibilities Build and execute acquisition-focused, multi-channel campaigns across email, SMS, push, and in-app Automate and optimise journeys in Braze using Canvas, Liquid logic, and segmentation filters Present and maintain a forward-looking campaign calendar (minimum 4 weeks of content and cadence) Activate dormant records and improve addressability using behaviour- and need-based segmentation Implement A/B and multivariate testing; document learnings and apply optimisation Monitor campaign results and report insights using Tableau and SQL Ensure strong email deliverability through list hygiene, IP/domain management, and compliance with SPF, DKIM, DMARC Manage sunset policies and suppression strategies to improve engagement metrics Collaborate with design and content teams to deliver high-quality, personalised creative About You 5+ years of hands-on email acquisition and lifecycle marketing experience Expert user of Braze, including journey automation, Liquid, and Canvas Proven track record in building behavioural acquisition journeys and nurturing new leads Confident managing campaign calendars with strong attention to scheduling and planning Strong HTML/CSS skills for email QA and template refinement Proficient in Tableau, SQL, and performance reporting Excellent understanding of ESP rules, spam filter logic, and deliverability optimisation Commercially driven and proactive in activating dormant or under-utilised data segments Creativity and having a crack is at the core of what we do. You will have to include/implement a test and learn methodology into your strategy, Comfortable working independently, with overlap to AEST hours Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. Able to work across both strategy & execution Strong analytical skills, including managing data, developing insights and communicating results Stakeholder management: you will work with diverse stakeholders, including seniority and objectives management. Time management: you will need to be able to manage your time and priorities Organised and Methodical - Ability to prioritise effectively: You will have subject matter responsibility for campaign execution across several of our businesses. Effective communicator: We work better as a team. You will regularly give and receive feedback from your manager and peers. Self-motivated, positive attitude.
