We are currently seeking an experienced technical writer to become part of the CSG product documentation group. We are looking for an individual who has a strong passion for precise language and excels in effectively communicating through the written word. As a Lead Technical Communications Engineer, you will be responsible for spearheading the documentation efforts for CSG products. Your role will involve developing a range of documentation materials including user guides, reference manuals, application notes, online training modules, and tutorial videos for our diverse array of customizable SoC products. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating closely with engineers and subject matter experts from various locations to create, review, and edit product documentation. You will be tasked with refining draft content from engineers to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, adherence to writing standards, and a consistent writing style. Additionally, you will assist engineers in embracing a structured authoring environment, employing topic-based writing methodologies, and crafting concise and focused content. You will also be accountable for maintaining content quality and technical precision by organizing technical reviews and addressing feedback from these evaluations. In this role, you will independently manage documentation for multiple products, handle documentation-related challenges, utilize the content management system effectively, and oversee the publishing process. Furthermore, you will play a role in driving Technical Publications initiatives by defining and implementing documentation standards and best practices, as well as streamlining documentation processes through automation. Qualifications And Experience: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Communications, Engineering, or Computer Science. - 4 to 8 years of experience as a technical writer. - Exceptional skills in technical writing, proofreading, and communication. - Proficiency in documentation tools such as Oxygen XML Author (required), MS Word (required), MS Visio (required), Adobe Acrobat (required), and Atlassian Confluence (preferred). - Hands-on experience with XML and DITA standards. - Familiarity with configuration management tools like Perforce and bug tracking tools like JIRA. - Strong research skills and the ability to grasp new technologies relevant to Technical Communications. - Awareness of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical writing. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make well-informed decisions.
