Leidos Engineering is seeking a
Distribution Planning and Analysis Engineer
to join our distribution planning team. It is expected that this role will involve the execution of distribution planning Load flow & short circuit ,arc flash and coordination studies, distribution protection, and could also involve DER interconnection studies and self-healing systems as project and client needs dictate.Studies would be conducted primarily as part of EPC projects and sometimes for US based utility clients. Distribution Planning and Analysis Engineer, you can also expect to gain:

The candidate should possess solid analytical distribution planning experience, including load flow for both traditional planning studies, short circuit studies, time coordination studies and arc flash analysis. Familiarity and experience with US distribution policy, and regulatory issues is also considered a plus.
- What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree is required and 2+ years of experience.
- Experience functioning in a technical role in distribution studies and capable of conducting studies under the direction of a technical supervisor (Lead) is strongly desired.
- Good knowledge of ETAPfor Arc flash, Short circuit, load flow and time coordination studies. Further, experience with EasyPower is desired for low voltage arc flash support.
- Siemens PTIs PSS/E or GE Concordias PSLF, EMTP or PSCAD experience is a plus.
- ASPEN OneLiner or Siemens APA formerly CAPE software experience is a plus.
- You are a confident communicator including listening, writing, and presentation skills.
- You are a team player, able to work collaboratively with many different people with diverse backgrounds and geographic locations.
