About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales and distribution in the assigned region. This role goes beyond achieving sales targetsit is about building markets, empowering teams, and strengthening our channel ecosystem to deliver consistent growth and trust. You will oversee the complete sales cycle across retail and institutional channels, drive strategic initiatives, manage distributor relationships, and ensure team excellence. The role requires strong leadership, market understanding, and the ability to translate insights into execution. Key Responsibilities Achieve and exceed volume, value, and profitability targets for the region. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing sales teams (starting with Sales Officers). Develop and execute territory-specific sales and growth strategies. Strengthen distributor and trade partner relationships to expand market reach. Oversee receivable collections and ensure financial discipline. Implement effective incentive programs for the sales team and channel partners. Conduct regular market visits to track execution, outlet performance, and brand visibility. Lead and monitor brand activation initiatives in the region. Align demand and supply by ensuring consistent order loading with mills. Track competitor activities and anticipate market shifts to stay ahead. Present detailed MIS reports covering performance, campaigns, and financial health. Ensure compliance with company policies, systems, and standards. Qualifications & Experience Graduate in Marketing/Business (MBA preferred). Minimum 5 years experience in FMCG/B2C sales, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Proven success in building sales teams and distributor networks. Strategic thinker with strong execution skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities. Fluency in Hindi, English, Telugu (for Hyderabad/Vijayawada), and Kannada (for Bengaluru). Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM platforms, and market analysis tools.
