Role & responsibilities Experience in Handling operations , troubleshooting with Veritas Flex Appliance would be must Key Responsibilities: Manage and monitor Veritas NetBackup infrastructure to ensure data protection and recovery. Troubleshoot and resolve backup failures, storage issues, and performance bottlenecks. Perform backup and restore operations , including scheduling, policies, and retention management. Manage NetBackup Master and Media Servers, Clients, and Storage Units . Handle disaster recovery planning and execution . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth backup operations. Perform periodic patching, upgrades, and performance tuning of backup environments. Generate reports on backup success rates, failures, and storage utilization. Preferred candidate profile looking for a skilled Veritas NetBackup L2 Engineer to manage and support backup and recovery operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, administration, and maintenance of Veritas NetBackup environments. 3-5 years of experience in Veritas NetBackup administration . Strong knowledge of backup policies, retention, schedules, and disaster recovery . Hands-on experience with NetBackup versions 8.x and above . Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Media Servers, Tape Libraries, and Disk Storage . Good understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, and UNIX). Knowledge of cloud backups and storage solutions is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
