Danfoss Climate Solutions is looking for a highly skilled Simulation Engineer to join the team. As a Simulation Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in discrete-event simulation, manufacturing optimization, and automation technologies to enhance production efficiency and support decision-making processes. Your role will involve developing and maintaining digital models, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing systems, and driving innovation in production operations to address high production variability and short throughput times. Your responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and optimizing discrete-event simulation models to enhance manufacturing and production efficiency. You will apply operations research techniques to derive data-driven solutions for production optimization and provide decision-making insights through advanced simulations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will integrate simulation models with real-world production systems, utilizing tools such as Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation and Visual Components. Additionally, you will support the automation team with PLC programming and incorporate 3D CAD models and robot programming into simulation workflows. The ideal candidate should have solid experience with discrete-event simulation tools, knowledge of operations research techniques, and proficiency in PLC programming, 3D CAD modeling, and robot programming. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams are essential. A proactive mindset, passion for process improvement, and a drive for innovation are also key qualities for this role.
