As a Director / Associate Director in Cloud Engineering (Azure Stack), you will be responsible for leading multiple client engagements, driving end-to-end project delivery, and managing high-performing engineering teams specializing in Databricks. Your role will involve hands-on technical expertise, project and people management skills, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale data engineering solutions in cloud-native environments. With at least 14 years of experience in data engineering, including 3+ years in leadership or director-level roles, you will be expected to have a strong background in Databricks, Delta Lake, and cloud data architecture. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and delivering multiple Databricks-based data engineering projects, managing project budgets and staffing, as well as mentoring engineering teams and collaborating with clients on architecture and strategy. To excel in this role, you must possess strong hands-on experience with Databricks, deep expertise in Azure data services, and a background in building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines. Your qualifications should include full-platform expertise in Databricks, proficiency in Azure cloud environments, and hands-on experience with Spark, PySpark, and Python for scalable data processing. Additionally, you should be adept at designing data warehouses or lakehouses, implementing Unity Catalog, and working with business teams to build dashboards. Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools will also be beneficial in this position.
