The leading provider of Group Benefits, MetLife, is seeking a talented individual to join their Group Disability technology organization. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the customer remains at the core of all our endeavors. Your primary responsibility will involve facilitating effective business and technology delivery within the Disability and Absence space. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including business partners, technology experts, and vendors, to deliver impactful products and services. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in Azure cloud platforms, Systems integrations, Application development & maintenance, who can spearhead strategic initiatives such as PoCs on AI, Application modernizations, Agile delivery model, Digital experience & Service integrations. In this role, you will lead multiple product teams in the development and maintenance of end-to-end IT solutions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing Solution Architecture and/or Product/Application Architecture, implementing the technology roadmap, and prioritizing the work generated by Agile teams to align with the platform's goals and vision. As a technical leader, you will guide the team in making sound technical decisions that meet the product capability needs and customer expectations. You will also be responsible for removing barriers, resolving conflicts, implementing audit controls, and ensuring application security best practices. Furthermore, you will be accountable for managing vendor performance, leading a direct product team, and providing full people management responsibilities, including hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, and training. You will also oversee a cross-functional team aligned with the product team and contribute to the development of high-level resources to achieve planned feature outcomes. To be successful in this role, you should have an engineering degree with an advanced degree in a Technology domain, along with at least 18 years of related work experience in successfully delivering large, complex projects. You should have demonstrated technical leadership in application design/development, cloud native technologies, agile practices, DevSecOps, secure design and coding principles, and Data analytics domains within an Agile environment. Additionally, knowledge of Scale Agile & product management is preferred, and industry certifications in SAFe, Azure, AI, etc., would be beneficial.
