Director of Engineering - Board Support Package

As the Director of Engineering BSP Leader at our company, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the strategy, development, and delivery of the Operating Systems (OS) including Android, QNX, and Linux, as well as Hypervisors and Board Support Packages (BSP) for the Infotainment & CDC platforms and products. Your role will require ensuring robust and scalable solutions across all products. - Oversee the strategy, development, and delivery of Operating Systems (OS) including Android, QNX, and Linux - Manage Hypervisors and Board Support Packages (BSP) for Infotainment & CDC platforms - Ensure robust and scalable solutions across all products You will be accountable for various Key Performance Indicators including Delivery Metrics such as: - Percentage of on-time deliverables from the OS & BSP Teams - Defect density and defect resolution time - Resource & Cost Metrics focusing on adherence to budget targets, team & tool utilization efficiency Your role will also involve driving Innovation & Process Improvements by: - Implementing innovative ideas - Optimizing processes - Reducing delivery cycles and development costs In the first year, key deliverables include: - Delivering production-ready high-quality OS & BSP work products for platforms & products based on Hypervised / non-Hypervised Android, QNX, Linux OS - Achieving measurable improvements in software quality & delivery - 20% reduction in defect density with zero slippage on delivery timeline - Initiatives to enhance Customer satisfaction by at least 10% in feedback ratings - Streamlining workflows to reduce delivery cycles by 15% - Improving Employee satisfaction in identified areas by 20% Qualifications, Experience, and Skills required for this role: - Masters / Bachelors degree in business management - 16+ years of relevant experience in a regional or global environment - 10+ years of embedded software development experience in C/C++/Java - 5 years of experience as an architect working on complex embedded systems with advanced technologies like speech, networking, image processing, AI/ML, etc. - Experience in QNX & Linux BSP, Hypervisor, Android OS Middleware, BSP SW, USB/PCIE/SPI/I2C/UART interfaces, Displays, storage devices, platform and SoC bring-up, connectivity architecture, HAL development, power management, OTA, cloud connectivity, and Agile/Scrum/Sprint methodology will be beneficial for this role If you are passionate about leading engineering teams, driving innovation, and delivering high-quality solutions, we invite you to apply for the role of Director of Engineering BSP Leader at our company.,
