As the Director of Engineering for AI Document Intelligence & Automation, you will play a crucial role in productizing the internal platform into a scalable, standalone solution supporting AI ingestion for lending and deposit processes. Your primary responsibilities will include scaling the technical organization in terms of architecture, people, practices, delivery, and AI innovation. **Role Overview:** You will lead the Engineering & Technical Leadership, Platform & Productization, Execution & Scale, and Cross-Functional Leadership aspects of the role. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires deep technical expertise and the ability to drive execution across multiple engineering teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own the technical roadmap for Cync's AI Document Intelligence platform - Architect modular, scalable pipelines for various document types - Convert extraction workflows into a configurable platform - Establish high-velocity engineering processes and release discipline - Partner with Product, Sales/Pre-Sales, and Compliance/Risk teams for seamless collaboration - Scale engineering headcount while maintaining high standards **Qualifications Required:** - 10+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership roles - Experience in building and scaling AI/ML or data platforms, workflow automation, and secure production environments - Deep familiarity with LLMs, Vision Models, and financial system integrations - Strong architectural ability and proven track record of turning unstructured data into reliable outputs - Previous experience in a well-run engineering culture and ability to scale engineering teams - A true builder who enjoys hands-on contribution where needed **Additional Company Details:** Success in this role will be defined by Cync delivering best-in-market accuracy on complex banking documents, fully integrating AI extraction with LOS + Servicing workflows, supporting all loan + deposit products in the bank lifecycle, achieving deployment scalability across multiple banks, and fostering an engineering culture that is fast, accountable, transparent, and innovative.,
