You will be fulfilling programmatic responsibilities by assisting the Program Manager in providing support and supervision to developmentally disabled and/or individuals with traumatic brain injury residing in group residences. Your role will involve maintaining the safety and Human Rights of the individuals, as well as implementing Individual Service Plans (ISP) goals and strategies of Turning Point, Inc. You will work under the direction of a Residential Program Manager and your responsibilities will include assisting with maintaining a safe environment, ensuring Human Rights and Safety of individuals, and ensuring all program staff follow agency and program philosophy, goals, and objectives. You will assist and supervise individuals with activities of daily living, accompany them to appointments, and follow behavior plans while maintaining required data collection. Your duties will also involve completing documentation in a timely manner, assisting with staff training and orientation, engaging positively with individuals, families, providers, and other staff, attending team meetings, and representing the program as the Human Rights Officer and Fire Safety Officer. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining certifications such as First Aid, CPR, MAP, Human Rights Advocate, and PABC, as well as adhering to program policies and procedures. To qualify for this position, you should preferably have an Associates degree or college courses, with a high school diploma or G.E.D required. A minimum of five years of direct support residential experience or closely related experience is necessary, along with knowledge of behavior plans for developmentally disabled individuals and/or individuals with traumatic brain injury. Prior staff training or leadership experience is desirable, and you must possess certifications such as First Aid, CPR, MAP, and others as required. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with solid math and computer skills. You should be able to engage positively with individuals and demonstrate patience, comprehension, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work positively as a member of the program staff. Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk frequently, engage in stooping or bending, lift individuals weighing up to 100+ lbs., and participate in established behavioral interventions to ensure the safety of all individuals in the program. You should also be able to drive a 4-6 passenger van for transportation as needed.,
