Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving products or systems, from concept through to production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, and quality to ensure product performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Create 2D/3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA). Develop and iterate product designs based on customer requirements, functional performance, and manufacturability. Conduct design analysis and simulations (e.g., stress, thermal, motion) to validate performance. Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design reports. Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of new or existing products. Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to improve design outcomes. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company design guidelines. Continuously research materials, technologies, and engineering practices to improve design efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, CREO). Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Basic knowledge of FEA/CFD tools and design validation techniques. Good problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): Experience with rapid prototyping tools (e.g., 3D printing). Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA). Exposure to project management tools and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Prior experience in [insert specific industry, e.g., automotive, consumer electronics, medical devices].
